I am an academic researcher with an interest in contemporary poverty and inequality. My work engages deeply with people and places to understand how our worlds are marked by difference – and the effects of such difference on the lives we live. My research has led me to many fascinating spaces, including my current project – entitled “Unequal Lives” – in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, and my previous work exploring ”Vernaculars of Poverty" in the Valleys of south Wales.
I am currently based at the School of Geography, Nottingham, and Homerton College, Cambridge.
